Another Black Tank Falls Out of Rig - Inspection, Modifications and Reinforcements?

I did the angle iron reinforcement like is pictured above by JCR GD. I removed some of the cloroplast fasteners and made sure where where the tanks were and then made sure that where I was placing the angle iron was not going to be pinch point on any wiring or othe things.

I'm going to do the same to hold up the clorplast but I'm first going to have to reroute the wiring and flush line. The battery cables from the converter to the battery compartment run right under the tank. Why they couldn't have used a extra two feet of wire to do it right I don't know.

On this issue I took a different approach and decided to "kill two birds with one stone". I wanted to help hold up the belly and anything above it plus I wanted to add another sewer hose storage tube so I installed a 5" vinyl post cover and it serves both purposes.

They sure do. I have 2 more of these at the rear of the trailer. I keep a ladder in one and my flag pole, fishing poles and hiking poles in the other.





IMPORTANT NOTE: Most home supply stores sell 2 sizes of these vinyl post covers. These are the 5" X 5". The 4" X 4" will not fit most items, especially the sewer hoses with the ends attached.

Thanks for the update Poppy. I've reviewed my black water tank attachment. Seems very secure to me. I'll add two metal straps but not really seeing the need. The valve replacement was challenging using the new valtera valves with the clamp like attachment on one side. But, smooth as butter now, we'll see how long that lasts!

I have a 2016 Reflection 303 and I have supports for my holding tanks that GD sent to me. I do not have any instructions and my local dealer (Beckley rv in MD ) refuses to work on my trailer because we did not buy from them. Long story but the price changed $5000 when we went to close the deal. Back to the support issue. I still have the supports but no instructions. Does anyone have instructions or pictures of how the GD supports are installed. I am taking my trailer to a different dealer and would like to have the supports installed. The other dealer is not a GD dealer so I don't think GD will help them. We have been traveling with all tanks empty . Appreciate any help. Duke

I do not ever recall seeing anyone on the forum sharing instructions. Suggest calling GDRV Customer Service @574 825 9679. I think in that call, I would also ask for a manager/team leader to talk more about the slide out adjustment issue in your other thread.
