Well obviously, overall, yes, Winnebago purchasing them is the biggest negative, but I'm what I was conveying is since it was done, hopefully Don having some level authority it the two will have a positive impact.

Winny didn't go through with this purchase to turn GD around. It is obvious that GD was a profitable company or Winny would not have bought them. As long as Don and the crew continue to be profitable doing what they do I don't see Winny forcing big changes. This could boost the purchasing clout of GD with the sub component suppliers and maybe force them to supply a better frig, AC or chassis. Be very very thankful it was Winny and not Thor. Then I would be worried.

Of course one would hope that they remain profitable by the same methods that they have been using.

Attached copy of "the standard" (things won't change, business as usual, perfect fit partnership, etc.) acquisition/merger/sale/etc. letter from Don/Bill/Ron from Facebook page. Yes, we all hope this to be true since GDRV owners/team, products and service has been truly wonderful but those of us who have been around to see these things and/or be part of them know the opposite is more often the case in the immediate future and/or over months to come.

My 2 cent bet is that within 18 to 24 months, Don and the Feenech brothers are gone.

Agree. I imagine that their business design was too much to handle. Several years of returning phone calls for customer issues would get old. Yes they could turn their backs on customers and be like every other MFG but that's what sets them apart. They're still fairly young so I could see either 1 or 2 or all maybe starting a smaller business making high end custom RV's. Less pressure. Still in the business and making money.
I guess it's true. All good things come to an end.

When I was working, I always hated Monday's. Seems all hell would break loose for whatever reason. Some things never change I guess.

I'd like to be optimistic on this but in reality, when was the last time any of us as consumers came out ahead when any company merged? Less competition, less innovation, less choices and higher prices are almost always the norm.

It's not their motor homes that suck; it's their trailers.
