I'm guessing you were asking me. Forum hint, use reply with quote as I did and it will send an alert to the person you're talking to and it makes it clear for everyone else.

No, I never resolved the issue. Everytime I have the coroplast down or the false basement wall removed I look for any signs of shorted wires and havent found any. I'm thinking it has to do with the furnace wiring and those wires are hard to access based on how it was installed.

My guess is it's either the furnace wiring or the wire that goes from the thermostat to the AC and back to the furnace. I havent had a chance to check those out yet. One of these days...
