Terrific Steve. I did my annual inspection last month and after about 6,500 miles, it all looked to be in great shape. I'm still quite happy with the conversion.

I'm about ready to do the same upgrade on my 313RLTS. The bolts didn't come with instructions. What torque is required for the wet bolts?

I don’t recall, but earlier in this thread Jim stated he used 45 ft lbs. That’s likely what I did.

My 297RSTS built in December 2017 came with Dexter axles and 16 inch rims. The suspension also has wet bolts.

And I'd pay a little extra for sealed bearings.

MORryde quit using/offering the Nev-R-Lube bearings some years back because of their failure rates. I wouldn't want them.

I can't remember the last car that I owned where you needed to repack the wheel bearings. I just believe that if they can be engineered for cars that they could be engineered for TTs. Same with suspension. I remember getting LOF (Lube, oil, filter) for my cars and trucks until they quoit putting any Zirk fittings on cars.

This has been discussed/argued from that angle before. Our axles and bearings in our cars don't have the loads on them that a heavy RV does. The rear axles of 3/4-ton and heavier trucks are solid axles with oil bath bearings. The Zerk fittings on cars and trucks were for things like ball joints, etc. - not wheel bearings.
