    Batteery Box Lids Hold Downs

Went to remove my batteries for the winter and realized that the lids for the batteries are held in place by a couple of sheet metal screws. I like to check batteries before every trip as part of getting ready to go list so these screws are pain. I'm looking for a easier way of secure the battery covers and thought about using a bungee over the top the top housing. Or I'm thinking about he latches in the link below. Anyone have a better solution?

Amazon also has Attwood battery hold down straps for about $5, I have used them on boat batteries and they work well.

I replaced the entire box. But I also put in a box that holds 4 - 6 volt batteries. I used a $11.77 box from Home Depot and plumbing parts to vent it. It snaps closed and with the addition of some weatherstripping tape it's pretty sure tight.

I'm looking to replace ours next spring too. We have two, and aside from the boxes, General RV put a battery they marked as defective into the back box. I'm starting to notice issues, and I'm going to take it out next weekend. I think it has at least one bad cell.

That would be nice to replace the two that's in there now with one box with some sort of latch to hold the lid down.
