Blower from AC runs continuously when furnace is turned on

Hey, I'm new to the forum, just joined today and I've had this question for a little bit and didn't know the best place to asking it unit now.

When ever I set the thermostat to Cool or Furnace the blower for the AC unit turns on and runs continuously. I saw on another thread that this is normal for the AC and that the compressor will turn on and off as needed based on the temperature set on the thermostat.

But for us it does the same thing for the furnace even though the air from the furnace comes from below. The furnace turns on and off and I can feel the warm air coming from the vents. But the blower for the vents above runs the whole time blowing cool air around the room. It's not warm air even when the furnace is going.

Is this normal? It can make it feel colder in the room when cool air is being blow down on your head.

    Thanks
    Kenny

Oh, thank you. I just tried it and it worked. Now I feel dumb, I thought the fan setting was just to turn the fan on and off and didn't know it effected the way the fan works for the other settings. I guess I never read that part of the manual because I figured it was obvious
