    Re: Lighting Issues

I left the switch in place. Makes it easy for me to turn off my wife's light when she falls asleep while reading.

    Re: Lighting Issues

Question for those who have repaired yours. Some of mine are screwed in with the 3 screws, others seem spring loaded. Anyone else notice this?
    Thanks

Yes on the screws and clips.

Dustin, where did you get the spacer?

    Re: Lighting Issues

The spacer is actually one of those things you buy at Lowe's or home depot to protect your wall from doorknob holes.iIt is just a piece of plastic, typically moulded in White or cream colors. I just drilled a hole in it and used a dremel tool to cut out the space for the switch that is on the light. Those two lights were held in with screws and the spring. I used the same screws and holes from the previous light.

Honestly this upgrade cost me $6.00 for the two plates. GD sent me the lights after enquiring about the change.

    Re: Lighting Issues

I have the new lights, like the ones Dustin posted, already installed. Obviously, the 305RE's got the new lighting upgrade/change.

(just letting all the possible 305RE buyers know!)

Chris, Did he happen to say which unit # they were on when they figured out the lighting issue and corrected it? Just wondering if we have old lights that we will have issues with or the corrected version.

Use a plastic putty knife. Be careful the glass could break. I had too add two sided tape too help hold the bulb
    in the socket.
