You can go to GD web site and click "Build and Price your Grand Design" to get the correct MSRP and choose your options there. You will see that seedealercost is slightly off (higher). Also dealers will sometimes put their own MSRP that is much higher than GD site.

I’ve contacted a dealer in Indiana that was 10 miles away from the factory and the best price I could get was 25k. But it was going to cost 3600 to ship to California. I’ve contacted a dealer here in California that will beat both those prices plus deliver the trailer 6 hours to my house. You can’t get away from paying for shipping. 27800 is a great deal in California. Just my opinion.

I'm currently shopping for a 2800BH with theater seats and 2nd A/C in southeastern PA. I contacted the four closest dealers to me, indicated that I was shopping around, and asked for their lowest out-the-door price (including 6% PA tax). Here's what I got:

29,000
29,318
29,400
31,000

Removing 6% from the 29k price, I get 27,358 for the pre-tax price.

Have you tried General RV? I have yet to find a dealer to beat their prices. When you call the dealers, tell them the price you want to pay and you would even put a $1000 down today. You’re not going to get their best price by phone. Make sure you show them what people are paying for them on here. That should give you ammunition as well.

I spoke to a salesparson who seemed interested until I told him the number I was looking to get. He promised to call me back but never did.

The closest Grand Design dealer to me came down from 31,000 to 29,500. And actually, I found that the theater seats *weren't* a no-cost option like I thought, so it was actually 29,950 with those included. But in the end, I felt that having a good relationship with the closest dealer is worth something. I signed the sales order this past weekend!

Has anyone purchased a 2800BH recently? I'm shopping for one and the initial offer I got is 27% off MSRP plus $2000 delivery, $1450 prep, taxes, tags. This seems like a horrible price. The dealer is 2 hours away from the factory (General RV). Clearly MSRP has gone WAY up as MSRP on the unit is $38,748, sale price is $28,433 (no 2nd a/c, no theater seating). Would really like to know what others are paying recently, not 4 years ago.
