Is the vent above the stove vented to the outside?

Can you give us a hint as to where the exhaust goes?

Turn the fan on & stand outside by where your stove is, there should be an exhaust flap.

Maybe. Some rigs, yes. Others, no.

Look on the outside wall where your stove is and see if there's a vent there.

I think this is the point of the confusion. On the Reflections either model 303 or the 295 the kitchen slide has only 2 holes, and they are for the refrigerator. There is no stove vent like I know from other trailers I have owned over the years.

This is our first week in our 295RL (full transparency)

We were cooking and steaming up the windows, so we turned on the hood vent. It did not seem to help much, and I got to wondering where that vent air got out of the rig. To get the moist air out, we opened the MAXX fan and put it on low speed, and that worked great. So, is that hood vent just a placebo?

On mine I have to run the MAXX fan to vent cooking gas and steam to the outside. When you turn the exhaust fan on over the stove you can feel it blowing out at the top of the convection oven, but not outside.

To confuse you even more, our 303 does have an outside vent for the hood fan.

While our 26RL doesn't. No vent above kitchen window:

It sounds like older models of the 303 have a vent above the kitchen window, newer ones do not. If yours does have a vent above the window, there usually is a plastic flap inside the rain hood on the outside, that snap locks for travel. Reach up and pop the lower edge loose, so it can open and let air out.
If yours does not have an obvious vent, it would be worth a call to GD, to find out if it is vented outside at all...and where the vent is. Can't imagine (pun) that they would go out through the roof of the slide....More likely it is an inside return, like the super cheap range hoods of houses in my youth....
