What is everyone towing with?
Currently towing with a 2012 Ram 3500 DRW Megacab 6.7 Cummins 3.73 High Output. 369RL squats me about 2 inches. Looking into putting airbags on the truck to level it out with trailer attached. I placed a 2" leveling kit on front to level the truck, but now with trailer hooked up I ride nose high. I did have to raise trailair pin box to help bring the nose of the trailer down. I had already lowered the Reese 16k hitch to lowest level, but I was still nose high. Trailer rides level now.
On the lookout for the right colored and priced Freightliner Sport Chassis. Might be overkill, but I won't ever worry about being overweight or underpowered.

I'm pulling with a F-350 Dually 6.4. I already had air bags because of a Lance truck camper we have. I use them to smooth out the ride a little bit.

Re: What is everyone towing with?
We have an F250 Diesel 6.something...I'll have to look all that up or ask hubby.
We are pulling the 305RE...it's about 4-5 feet shorter than all the 369RL's on this forum, and lighter by around 1000 lbs.
We have a little squat, but hardly noticeable. The dealer said we didn't need airbags, but hubby thinks we'll pull better with them as it will even out the ride, so we may be adding those.
Our F250 easily pulls the 305RE here in the flatlands of Louisiana, Texas, and rolling hills in Mississippi...will be interesting to see how we roll when we journey northwards.

Re: What is everyone towing with?
I tow with a 2012 GMC Denali 3500HD Dual Rear Wheel. It has a 6.7 Liter Duramax Diesel with Allison Transmission. This truck does a great job as I tow in the mountains a lot. I have really found the exhaust brake on this truck to be very useful on the steep hills in the mountains. Hopefully it will save a lot of wear and tear on the brakes.

Re: What is everyone towing with?
IMO the perfect truck would be a cummins engine, allison transmission and a Ford chassis. Lots of luck right? LOL
Renee, your truck should do fine in the mountains. And Steve, I wish I could get your mileage.Location - Wherever the road takes us...Full-timers

That is why I am looking at the sport chassis, cummins engine, Allison trans and an air ride freightliner frame and cab.

You'll like it I'm sure. The only thing I don't like about the Ford, is the size of the fuel tank. If I didn't have a truck camper I would have a 90 gal bed tank.Location - Wherever the road takes us...Full-timers

I'm with you on that Red. I have thought about a bed tank, but the extra weight worries me.

2011 Ford F-350 6.7 deisel. Love this tow vehicle. Had a 2005 Ford F-350 6.0 deisel that was a disaster. Blew 2 EGRs, turbocharger, high pressure fuel pump, tow command system.
