18" or 20" wheels on tow vehicle for Solitude 310GK?

    Hi guys,

Which is better to have on the tow vehicle truck for towing a Solitude? 18" or 20" wheels?
I'm trying to cover all my bases.........

    Thanks much!

I prefer 18" wheels. The 20" will be low profile and not give as much impact absorption.

I have 18 inch on my GMC and still about 1 inch nose high so I would recommend 18".

I like 18". More choices and more rubber on sidewalls.

My '13 Sierra had 20"s - REALLY wish it hadn't. 20" wheels severely limit your choices in tires, including load capacity. We just recently traded for a 1-ton DRW and I'm really glad it has 17s. Much wider range of choices for high load range tires.

Check the tire sidewall for maximum load carrying. 18" will likely be greater for the reasons previously stated.

I may ask for your help again tomorrow. I have my eye on an F350 diesel in Colorado that is a 2017; selling it as used but only 500 miles. Looks like it has all the right stuff but I should get the payload info. stickers tomorrow. It has the fifth wheel prep, tow technology bundle, spray in bedliner, etc.

    Thanks bunches!!

Sounds really nice Mary...I wonder an owner decided he needed a 450 and negotiate a return? Haha
