Towing with "toy" weight in garage versus minimal weight in garage

Has anyone had experience towing with an "empty" garage versus towing with a "full" garage? I'm assuming the engineers assumed users would be regularly towing with weight in the garage which I'd imagine would lessen the pin weight to some degree and possibly enhance the trailers braking performance. Not sure if the enhanced braking performance would make any sense given the additional overall weight of the trailer. Any thoughts? I don't have any toys YET, but figured I should load everything I could into the garage rather than forward the storage compartments on my 350M to give some weight behind the axles.

Had a 350M, with no toys and a combo W/D in the garage pin weight was approximately 3500 pounds.

I don't have weights but I've pulled my 350 empty and with maybe 1000 lbs back there. Didn't really feel any different towing. The pin weights are very heavy to compensate for weight back there are even loaded to max capacity you'd still be fairly pin heavy. As long as the truck can handle it and keep it all mostly level, I doubt you'd see much difference in handling.

My 3rd AC height with an empty garage is 13'7". With a Yamaha Rhino in there it's 13'5". For me it balances the trailer perfectly.

    YMMV.

It may be old and inaccurate, but I thought maximum semi trailer height was 13 feet 6 inches.

Hitch weight on my 376 was 3712 lbs from the factory. Now fully loaded at 19640 my hitch weight is 3860. My garage has a 700 lbs motorcycle & up to 100 lbs of gear.
Not sure if this helps any.

Thank you for your reply, yes, all information I get helps! I'm struggling with the decision on upgrading to a DRW. We just picked up our 350M last weekend with our 3500 SRW and the 4 hour drive home was fine. I felt safe but I always like to have a large safety margin.
