When I wa shopping for a F-350 years ago, there was also a DRW for sale. My wife said a big NO! to a Dually. Nw she tells me I never even told her about it and she would have considered it. LOL

First I am a big Ram fan, GVWR for my truck is 12,300 which provides me with 4394 lbs of payload, that GVWR and payload are the #'s to look for. OK my #'s I tow a S Class Solitude 2930 RL which is very similar in size and weight to the 310. My truck is a 2019 Ram Big Horn SRW Long Bed 6.7 CTD , The weight in this link is fully loaded for 10 days camping and 300lbs of firewood in the bed 2 adults 75 lbs 2 dogs and 60 gallons in fresh tank, I have no generator or W/D. I am well within capacities and the pull and stop can be described as easy. The 310 and 2930 are the only 2 Solitudes I would tow with a SRW truck, 15000 GVWR on the camper would be max for me. Well over 12000 miles towing wiyth this set up. Here is the link to cat scales http://www.towingplanner.com/ActualW...5280&w2da=3040

    Thanks Frank!

I have seen that Dodge GM, and Ford all have done a better job with the newer trucks when it comes to payload, towing capacity and GVWR. Technology & evolution is wonderful at times. Every year we see each of the the three take turns to be king of the big trucks. I like all three for different reasons. When my wife and I want to blow some time we go and look at all the new trucks and she chuckles as I open doors to see the yellow stickers.

My wife really like the look of the rear fender well design on Dodge and Chevy in that order on the newer DRW trucks. But the con is if one happens to ding the fender well area, the whole fender needs to be addressed. Ford’s still look like Mickey Mouse ears but the good thing is it’s easier to replace the fender well. Some people love Mickey. LOL I think that GM and Ford should also copy Dodge and have Mega Cabs.

I have friends that have always bought GM regardless until the bailout. Then they switched to Ford or Dodge. Now I have a few friends that switch to GM just bc of the tailgate. When I was younger and dumber I was one that would argue mine is better than yours. Now I’m more, they all are great and let’s all go have some fun kind of guy.

If you truck weight in at 8100 unloaded and 11,100 loaded you would have a 3000 pound pin. You didn't allow for the increase on the front axle of 220.
    11,100 - 8100 = 3000 pound pin.

While you may be correct with the pin weight, i highly doubt any SRW other than a reg cab maybe will be able to legally pull a 310GK, as i own a 2019 F350 XLT SRW 8ft bed crew cab. It is configured for towing and has one of the highest cargo capacities with limited additional weight. Its cargo cap is 3383. I searched for nearly 4 months to find the highest cargo cap. I could and never found one higher. Click image for larger version.

I set up a sticky in the Tow Vehicles sub-forum a few weeks ago. Many folks have posted their weights. If any of you haven't it would help out others if you could add yours.

Just know that the sticky only wants your RV Model, Pin/Tongue Weight, and RV Axel Weight. Please, no comments about stickers/labels, or commentary. I'm trying to keep it clean and simple. But it does require that you've weight your tow vehicle alone and again with the RV loaded and ready to go.

    Thanks. Carry on......

My 2016 GMC 3500 Denali SRW Duramax CC had a payload rating of 3,716. The newer models are higher. If you don't overload the truck or RV, you can tow a 310GK with a late model 1 ton SRW diesel and stay within the truck's payload rating.
