Black Tank Valve Handle Broken

I tried to get a part number using the PARTS INQUIRY submission form on Grand Design's website. Total black hole. Seems page is for cosmetic purposes only; guess they needed the appearance of choices under the SUPPORT menu.

Fortunately, the metal handle from Amazon (modified by drilling and using my own sheet metal screw) has been working well. Honestly, feels like it will hold up better than the cheap plastic ones that came from the factory.

I️ lost a handle on my last trip. The biggest problem is they don’t use a lock washer on these, and, as stated previously, the handles are not the commonly available versions. I️ am spoiled having a captive machinist, I️ now have custom aluminum pull handles for all the dump valves, and lock washers so they won’t come loose.

Use locktight on screws. Medium hold so you can remove them if you need to.

I have found the handles at www.etrailer.com
I don't know why the black ones are double the price so I just bought 3 black handles since they have been dropping off during trips.

We do carry replacement handles and from your photo it looks like you need one that screws in such as the Replacement Handle #34490CMA1 as opposed to the threaded Replacement Handle # T1003-6NVP.
