    293res slide out

I have a 2015 Reflection 293 res. When going around a sweeping corner on a major highway at 55-60 mph The heavy slide out with the Ref, Stove, Pantry falls out about 8-12 inches at the top.the slide continues to operate normal at this time. Is this a common or known issue?

Tipping slides or extending slides a few inches has been reported on a few Solitudes with hydraulic through frame slides over the years but this is the first I have seen a post on a Reflection with an electric through frame slide. Thus this is not common in fact extremely rare usually the result of a hydraulic leak issues, over loading the top area of a slide, excessive speed while cornering, etc.

To tip this far as you shared is pretty amazing when one considers the stout design and mounting of the slide mechanism to the RV frame. By the way, your kitchen slide is the same as on our 303 and we have never seen this. Maybe Gary and Marcy @WhittleBurner can share any feedback on this as well.

I think many of us would be interested in learning more on what is loaded in that slide particularly if top heavy and sharing more about these seemingly pretty sharp corners of the road; maybe of the road is leaning downward, speed, etc. This said, it seems a thorough inspection of all slide components/mounting areas including dropping the underbelly would be prudent.

Taking corners with only one side of the RV tires on the road and/or the truck tires too while probably exhilarating, is probably a contributing factor....LOL !

Keep us posted after close inspection and how that slide is loaded.

I havent heard about many that tip in the reflection and this is the first with the heavy kitchen slide.

Here is a link to Lipperts manuals. You may find troubleshooting tips in there. https://support.lci1.com/master-manuals/ In the mean time If it were my trailer I would put a 2x4 brace near the top to prevent the tipout during travel.

I will give an update on this later. I have a service date on Sept 23 for GD dealer to inspect and advise.

I totally spaced getting back to posting the resolution. I did take it into Lazy Daze as previously indicated. They found nothing wrong with slide. I got into the trailer and was noticing that we had a lot of heavier items in the panty and upper cabinets making weight distribution high on the slide. Wife and I removed some items not being used and re-arrange most others putting lighter weight items higher and heavier lower. The slide has never tipped out again. I am very surprised there was not damaged caused by this.
