    Ford F-150 Powerboost

My 2021 Ford F-150 Powerboost (3.5 Twin Turbo plus electric) does 22 mpg around town and 24+ on the road but pulling Grand Design 22MLE only 9 or so mpg.
What are others finding with this set-up?

Oh wait a sec, I just realized that you have the PowerBoost not EcoBoost. My numbers are from a 2.7 EB pulling roughly 6200 lbs.

Eco OR Boost. The hybrid doesn't do anything for you rolling down the road so 9 MPG is probably about right for one of those. How fast are you going? If I can fight the urge to go faster than 62 MPH, I get better mileage with my GM half ton.

You guys are making me feel better with every post! My F350 diesel Crewcab Dually got 8.2 mpg average over 5143 miles last Sept on a trip out west. My combined weight was right at 29,500 lbs and running around 70 mph except when the speed limits were lower! Thank y'all.

All I can say is avoid a 6.8L V10. I used to get 4 MPG in an F250 CC LB towing 7700lbs!

I have a now pretty old Ecoboost. 20 mpg unloaded highway, But it's got the higher gearing (3.73). With my old Jayco fifth, averaged 10.5 mpg over 15,000 miles. Now with the Imagine trailer, average about 8 over 12,000. I blame the dip of airflow coming over the cab, down to the bed cover, and hitting the front of the trailer for greatly increasing the drag. Where with the fifth, being close to the cab, the air tended to move up and over more.

@xrated We have a similar setup. F350 diesel DRW, pulling a 20K GDRV fifth wheel. (Which contains 1500 lbs of motorcycles!) 8.2 ain't bad if you're hitting mountains out west. I can tell you this.... I had to drive it fairly slowly for about four hours (with no rig) and there was a substantial improvement between my normal 80mpg, even 70mph and the lower 55-60. Like... I can get... 10-11 mph (no rig) normal driving. I got 14mph after that trip. Okay, maybe "substantial" is too much of an exaggeration!
