Auto level
Hi,
I got a question regarding auto level. When I parked my 5th wheel on our campsite and auto leveled it, it was very perfect. However we got lots of rain lately and I can feel it moving when we move around inside. My question is can I just auto level it again with the slides open or do I have the close all the slides and then do auto level.
Thanks

@Techno - you don't say what model of RV you have but, generally, it's best to pull the slides in before using the auto-level function.
You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

I would agree that when you first level the rig, it ought to be done with the slides in. But once it’s been leveled once, I wouldn’t expect a lot of movement when re-leveling as described. As such, I wouldn’t see a need to pull in the slides in this particular situation.

It's funny that you'd say that as I had forgotten about that. I used to notice that mine would do that when we first got it, but it hasn't done that the last few times we took her out. Not sure why that is because I haven't done anything to the module. But yes, assuming that the auto-level will first drop the nose, I, too, would recommend bringing the slides in first. Manual mode might be the best way to get the rig to be more stable.

I'm in the "adjust a bit with manual mode" camp.

I have re-auto-leveled a few times after being set up for three or four nights, always with the one and only slide extended. I've had no problems and noticed an improvement in the stability and solidity of the camper each time I've done so.
