    I keep a five-gallon plastic can of diesel in a milk crate, in the bed of the truck. It’s covered by the Pace-Edwards hard cover if the fifth-wheel isn’t hooked up. I put foam pipe insulation between the bottom and sides of the milk crate, so no rubbing. I also keep it tied in place, using the tie downs in the bed of the truck, and locked in place with a cable chain.

    No problems, so far.

    Having spent 33 years in the fuel equipment industry I can tell you the answer is no. You might want to try a large mouthed funnel of some type.

    The link that I posted in my earlier post is an adapter for use with truck pumps made and sold by Volkswagen.

    If your using the yellow diesel cans the nozzle should fit (at least mine do) YMMV

    One of the truck stops had the adapters and loaned them out for a $25 deposit. Might try asking at the counter.
