Pulling a 380 fl with srw ram 3500 hd ho 6.7l

    Hi all,

Sorry I don't know how to do a signature block that includes my vehicles. I was wondering if anyone else out there pulls a Solitude 380 FL with a SRW 1 ton? I have a 2019 Ram 3500 6.7 HO, Pulling a 2020 Solitude 380FL. I have used the CAT Scales and am very close to the limits but not over. Just curious if anyone else pulls it without a Dully?

I just upgraded our 2014 SRW to a 2020 Ram HO with a Aisin trans. It pulls great, no issues at all. We just drove through South Dakota running 85-90 smooth as can be. My only complaint is the fuel tank is still small. My last truck I put in a 40 gal tank in the bed it gave me 700 miles before I had to fill up. This truck I think I’m going to install a Titan 52 gal tank underneath the truck.

Wow - what are your numbers? We like the floor plan but aren't considering it due to pin weight. 2020 RAM 3500 CC LB 4x4 6.7HO 3.73. Our payload is only 4014.

With full tank of full and everything we have in the truck and trailer GCVW 25300, DRIVE AXLE 7000, STEER 5240, TRAILER AXLES 12740. Truck pulled it well no issues. We are right at the limit, but burning fuel lowers the weight and this was first trip out.

Yeah I use to drive Semi's, even though I'm legal I won't exceed speed with all the weight and breaking distance.

Don't take this wrong because I am not the weight police! I know most RV'ers overload their trucks and I don't care. That's their business. BUT, I do want people to understand their numbers so they can decide if they have the right tow vehicle - for them!

You mentioned drive, steer and trailer axle weights but you didn't mention the loaded pin weight of your 5th wheel and how that compares to your truck's payload rating. The payload rating for your particular truck can be found on the yellow sticker on your driver's door. In most cases, the payload rating is the first to be exceeded when towing 5th wheels.
