My only complaint is the fuel tank is still small. My last truck I put in a 40 gal tank in the bed it gave me 700 miles before I had to fill up. This truck I think I’m going to install a Titan 52 gal tank underneath the truck.

I was looking at doing this myself, install a Titan 52 gals tank but it's not on the top of my list.

Pin weight on our 380FL came in at 3300lbs on the last trip north. I don't believe there is a SRW out there that can accommodate that, plus all the other stuff in the truck... Dually is the way to go..

I am wondering if the 3900 Payload rating that you reference is the truck brochure number or the actual number off the yellow sticker on your door jamb. I am looking to upgrade my 2012 RAM 3500 SRW to a 2019 RAM 3500 SRW and am pretty intimate with all of these numbers. The RamTruck web site shows 3900-4000 as Max Payload for a RAM 3500 SRW. However, available payload decreases as you step into the higher trim models. For example, a 2019 3500 Laramie shows max payload of 3910, but an available payload of 3045. That is because of all the features reduce payload capacity. Might want to look at your yellow sticker on the door jamb to see if the number is lower than what you are expecting.

All 2020 Rams 3500 SRW have a payload capacity of over 4000 lbs.

I have 2019 1/2 (2020 spec) RAM 3500 SRW with the HO Cummins and the Aisin HD trans. RAM has an owners portal where is reports the max payload and max trailer weight for each owner's vin number. Mine says Payload is 4139 lb and Max Towing is 25449 lb. Matches the door sticker. I have a Reflection 311bhs, so I dont come anywhere near those max numbers. I think if I were going with a bigger trailer I would go with a DRW. My truck pulls my 311 amazingly, but my camper is only around 14k gross.

A SRW 3500 will be able to pull more payload than a DRW because of the weight of the tires and rims

The new trucks have tons of power and can easily tow our RV's but one of my concerns is the speed ratings of the trailer tires. Last I checked the WestLake G rated tires are rated at 75 mph, I am interested in knowing which tires you have and the speed rating on them for when I switch them out.

My 2019 RAM 3500 SRW short box has a payload rating of 3808 lbs. If you go with a long box payload will be about 250 lbs more. Based on the pin weight of 3300 lbs I could easily be within all of my specs to pull the 380FL even if I add 300 lbs for the hitch.

After coming back from this camping trip, I pulled onto the CAT Scale, I was over GVWR. Therefore I decided to trade in the SRW Ram for a 2020 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn, DRW, 6.7l, Aisin HD, 4.1 axle Ratio. I figured better safe than sorry.
