Ah yes! The co-pilot took care of all that. We have all we need there as well (I think). Coffee maker with metal carafe, toaster, bathroom items, command hooks and baskets galore.
We also got a Saatva mattress. It’s awesome.

The type of Generator you need for the RV is called an "Inverter Generator". The Inverter Generator gives out a very smooth Electric pulse, just like the power in your home and does not damage your Electronic devices, the Contractors Generator gives out very "Rough" Electricity and is acceptable for things like saws that you would find on a construction site.

In technical terms, the Champion and other Inverter Generators produce "Pure Sine Wave" electricity, while the Contractors Generator produces "Modified Sine Wave" electricity. Think of the two "Sine Waves" like this: the "Pure Sine Wave" is like a roller coaster track that goes smoothly up and smoothly down kind of like a wave. While the "Modified Sine Wave" would be closer to the roller coaster track going up and down with 90 degree corners at the bottom and top (see image below).

The Inverter Generators are also Very Quiet !!!
    Wow! Thanks Solar!!

I will definitely “follow the science” on this one. I don’t have a portable generator for home use so for this price I’ll keep it.

Thanks all. I never thought this post would have such legs!! Lots of good discussion

Exactly what we have and are VERY happy with it. Since we put the batteries/ inverter in the pass through we added a 30 lb propane bottle on the frame behind the other two which upgraded to 30 lbs a while ago.

Yea geez. Thought I had the gen situation figured out. NOT! On a positive note: I realized yesterday I'm still in the 90 return window on the HF Predator. Once this weather clears I know what I'll be doing with that thing. Thought the Champion 3400 was going to be the replacement but you come along with that Westinghouse. What to do, what to do. Oh, return the Predator first! Haha!

I suggest a 50-> 30 amp adaptor or vice versa depending on what your rig takes. I bet you cost of one that your gonna need it in the first year! If your going to do any boondocking, my Predator 3500 generator from Harbor Freight has been worth the $ and WAY cheaper thant the alternatives. The absolute best money I spent was Husky Centerline hitch to eliminate the white knuckle experience and Furion monitor, so I can see the idiots behind my rig as I drive.
