Considering I live in New Mexico... I'm just not taken by much else here. I'm a high country cowboy. I prefer 9,000 ft above sea level, or higher. Not very many places in New Mexico like that. I grew up with the Colorado Rockies as my stomping grounds. I miss the 4 seasons, and snow! But, I digress...

I agree with this. I also prefer the high mountains. It’s in my blood, my dad is from Leadville, CO - over 10,000’ above sea level and I grew up at over 7,000’ above sea level with the high mountains just minutes away. I loved having 4 true seasons. Northern NM is nice but I don’t care much for the flat desert areas. I definitely love the mountains of Colorado and Utah! I have probably spent more time in the San Juan mountains of CO than the NM mountains lol.
