Fresh Water Tank Capacity

I have a 2020 315RLTS with a specified tank capacity of 60 gallons. I installed a P3 Save-a-Drop water flow meter at the inlet on my Nautilus and every time I fill the tank it begins to overflow at 40 gallons indicated on the meter. I'm stumped - anyone have an idea what might be happening?

I know fresh water capacity usually includes the water heater - not positive the size on that big trailer but on my small one that’s around 6 gallons.

Mine list the capability at 54 plus 6 for wh.

Total of 60.

Adding in the HWT brings me up to 46 - that's still 14 gallons shy of 60....

I take it you don't have a gravity fill port? I put a shut-off valve on our Imagine's overflow vent. I shut it off when the water overflows but I can get another 6 gallons into the tank with the gravity fill port.

Any updates? Our 260RD is a 52 gallon tank fresh and 6 gallon hot and something weird is going on. We filled it day before yesterday to the point of overflow, and now it is empty yet we've barely used it (showered in the campground facilities, limited dishes). We were using it knowing we had a full 5 day stay - we can usually go 4 - 5 days boon docking. To get us through this trip, we just manually loaded about 42 gallons using a 5 gallon portable container and it started overflowing. We should be able to get another 10 gallons into it. We are auto leveled.

Curious if @firstshirt figured it out.

I'm going to order a water flow meter, but trying to find one on Amazon with decent reviews.

That is the one I have. That price is really high though. I think I paid about 20.00

I raised the vent plumbing to the hieght of the top of the propane tanks,
I can now get the listed 155 gallons into the tanks, I installed ball valves to vent as the factory had it for the first part of the fill. When the ater comes out I know I am at 118 gallons, close the valves and wter will come out of the raised vent at 155.
