Scenic Campgrounds in Georgia, South Carolina, or North Florida

Crooked River a GA state park is off I-95 one mile north of the GA / FL line. It is on the crooked
river and adjacent to Kings Bay Sub base.
We spend 2 weeks there every January and enjoy it.
The CG has 2 loops one loop has full hookups.
The second loop does not have sewer.

Another vote for Crooked River in GA. Large spots, nice campground. We used this as a stop over going from West Coast Florida to NC

We need to get back to Crooked River SP, Georgia. The last time we were there was before their total renovation.

Hamilton Branch in SC is on the Lake with large spots and lots of privacy between them. There are a few in the Waynesville area west of asheville close enough to visit great smokey mtn and other spots in that area but some close early Nov.

I don't make a habit of giving up my 'secret' spots but since they are hard to get into anyways I'll provide a few.

Cloudland Canyon SP - Georgia
Fort Mountain SP - Georgia
Black Rock SP - Georgia
Cumberland Mountain SP - Tennessee

You can't really go wrong with any Georgia State Park except for maybe a couple of them.

I can give these two up because I live here part time. Take a look at Jekyll Island and Blythe Island regional Park both near Brunswick Ga on the south east coast.

Most campgrounds in all 3 states have redeeming value. Also, USACE campgrounds are pretty nice; among our favorites are Oconee Point and Springfield on Lake Hartwell. We are currently at Black Rock Mountain SP in northern GA; beautiful, but be aware that it is a steep, curvy climb to get here. Of the GA state parks, we also like Elijah Clark SP on Clark’s Hill Lake and Laura S. Walker SP near the Okefenokee Swamp.
