I think most report actual pin weights of 2100-2300 with a 303.

GD historically publishes low figures. Even then it shows 1865 lbs.

My 337RLS was 200 lbs higher than web site pin weight and that was before and propane or battery installed at the dealership.

A typical 5th wheel will have a pin weigh of 20%-23% of GVWR when loaded to travel. My 337RLS with a GVWR of 13,995 has a real workd pin weight of 2800-2900lbs

I was going to post the actual specs off the site but most beat me to it. I have a 2018 303 and pin weight is around 2300 loaded (1865 dry). Figure about 20-22% of trailer loaded . I had a 2016 3/4 GM gasser with a payload of 3094 which put me in spec. When I saw the newer ones had the bigger motor I upgraded to a 2021 GMC AT4 1 ton with 6.6 gas motor. Diesel would of dropped about 300 pounds off that payload number. But any way the 2500 did the job but the 3500 does it better and now I can move up to a solitude if I wanted. The bigger motor pulls harder and gets 1 mpg better.

The yellow sticker is your payload rating. Yep, it's 2,140 lbs. What you do with that information is your business.

Was told by my insurance agent (aka the wife) that there can be legal ramifications if you are overloaded and involved in an accident.
In some cases your insurance company may even deny coverage. I myself am not in position to tell you not to do this but since you are investigating all of this it might be something to consider.

We arrogantly towed over our cargo capacity for quite a while. I mean, my last truck pulled a space shuttle across the tarmac so what's the problem, right?

Again, I'm not telling you what you should do. Just passing along information.

    Safe travels!
I've heard these things about being denied coverage, legal ramifications, etc., but have never actually seen anybody produce any actual evidence of it happening. Other than the "yeah it happened
to my neighbor's cousin's son-in-law's younger daughter" apocryphal story.

After changing the mattress, packing clothes and loading things under the bed then 2 6v batteries etc.. We weighed in at about 2300 on pin weight. Then add the stuff packed in the bed .. It all adds up fast.

Lol......my wife is laughing at me that next.....i will want a 3500. I told her that the 3/4 ton is quite capable and i won't be trading up in puller.

    Thanks
I don't know Ram as well as Ford, but if it's anything like the 250/350 discussion, you buy basically nothing but a new sticker going from a 250 to a 350 SRW. All the parts that matter with the exception of an overload spring (which is easily added or outdone with a 500 dollar set of airbags) and identical between the two trucks.

If you want a more capable puller, add another set of tires in the back. Otherwise, you're really not getting a thing beyond a sticker swap and protection from the extraordinarily unlikely "pulled over and weighed" event. In my years on these boards, I've yet to see my first confirmed case of "pulled over, weighed, had to disconnect and get a new truck to pull it home". I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm sure it HAS happened, but it's so rare as to be the stuff of unicorns.
