Water leak under bathroom sink
Does anyone know what the fitting in the picture is for? There is water coming from what appears to me to be some sort of vent. I have wiped the adjacent threaded fittings and the water is coming from the above fitting. I know the tubing is from the fresh water system, but this is a new problem that hasn’t been an issue until yesterday. Any help will be appreciated, I have attached a picture for representation sake.

That might be the vacuum break on the black tank flush. Not sure.

I would agree with @FlyStar's suggestion/guess. The vacuum breaker/backflow preventers are known to fail and leak. If that's what it is, higher quality units can be purchased at home improvement stores.
