    Ford F450

Does anyone two with an F450? We are thinking about getting one and wondered about its height.

I'm assuming you mean tow, not two. I do not have a 450, but when comparing (and drooling over) one on the lot to my truck (it was a 2022 and I have a 2019) they were pretty much the same height.

EDIT: Changed drolling to drooling. (Thanks @Dick Noble! I earned that one, didn't I?)

MoonShadow 1911, Thanks, that is reassuring. Sorry about the misspell. Did you mean "Drooling over" and not "drolling over"? OK, you kind of begged for that. LOL

It is higher than other trucks. Depending on your trailer, hitch, and pin box, you may have clearance issues. I had to set the B&W 25k companion to max height and still had some slight rail running (pin box touching edges of truck bed plastic covers) with the MorRyde pin box (no issue with factory pin box oddly).

Factory pin box on a 2019 397TH, 450 with companion 25k in mid holes.

    No clearance issues, rides level.

I have a 2022 F450 Superduty (pickup) and tow a 2022 Momentum 351MS-R with a Gen-Y Gooseneck and a 2.5-inch tall B&W ball. I have about 7 inches between the rails and the underside of the RV.

    BTW: LOVE the F450.

Thank you all most kindly. Just got a call from the Ford Dealer in Delta, CO. Our f350 is fixed and ready to be traded for the f450. We will go to the dealer tomorrow and complete this deal. This means we can go south, probably in January, for 3 months. Cannot thank all you all for the kind words and advice. We thought we would be giving up the RV lifestyle after this trip but I think we may continue. Have to justify the cost of the newer truck.

I made the mistake of driving a friend's 450 after owning my 350. The 350 is a great truck for towing, however, the turning radius on the 450 is SO much better. We are talking HUGE difference here. Good luck with the trade!

My bed of my 2019 F450CC was about an inch lower than my 2017 F350CCSB SRW. I was able to keep my B&W hitch in the top holes with the stock lippert 1621 pin box on our 2022 351M-R was perfectly level. I just swapped out the LCI 1621 pinbox for a Gen-Y King Pin and had to put the B&W in the lowest setting. The 351M-R now rides ~1.5in nose high (with 35# of air in the bags to level out the truck). At this point, I am not worried about the nose high situation as no noticeable difference in tire temp/pressures front axle to back. Both hitch setups have given me more than enough bedside clearance (~9in).

I am lucky enough that the F450 fits into my attached garage without issue (one bay is slightly wider).

We got the newer F450 home. It fits into our garage. I was worried about the height of the truck but all is well. I love this truck and cannot wait to tow our 5er with it. Really like all the bells and stuff and it seems this thing is made to tow. We cannot leave until early Jan. 2023 because wife has planned a birthday party for me (80th). I want all you folks to help me celebrate. Birthday is new year's eve.
