Post General Housekeeping Question - Keeping Blinds Clean

We have a 2021 Reflection 303RLS and we have never been able to get the window blinds on the kitchen window clean. Is there a way to remove them without damaging the box valance?
    Thanks, Ron

You likely have to remove the box, the screws will be on the inside and hard to reach.
What have you been using on the blinds? Are they vynil or aluminum? If it's grease you are trying to remove try some straight 90 plus alchohol as a cleaning agent to cut the grease. That will be safe for either material.

And why didn’t we get roller shades on the kitchen side? I asked the same thing on our Reflection. I dislike blinds, a lot.

I'll take another look at the box bus I couldn't even see the screws. We're using a spray cleaner and it works but not very well and the mess is almost as bad as the blinds. They should have made a small clip the box could drop into. I may do that when I take it down. Thanks.

I agree. I see the two screws and the clips that are holding the blind in place but to be honest, I don't want to pry those clips apart on the off chance I'd break them.

Is this window behind the stove?

If the window is behind the stove, the roller shades are a fire hazard. Typically the blinds would be metal, so as not to catch fire.

Yes, it is. We're using a spray cleaner, and it's a pain, but it helps. She's also raising the blinds whenever she cooks anything that spatters.

We use Dawn Powerwash and spray it on the metal blinds, let it sit for a few minutes, then using a damp cloth, wipe them horizontally while holding them on one side. Seems to work.
