well on a home you have no reason to store the energy because it just runs the meter backwards if your not using it lol

Well i only did that so the stuff in the compartment couldnt jump onto the battery with the exposed terminals and short it out. It doesnt look like anything in that compartment moves so your probably safe Originally Posted by DaveMatthewsBand

I just thought it would be nice to be able to throw some lightweight stuff in there, like a couple folding chairs.
