    Carpet cleaning

Anyone give advice on what to use on small area of carpet.
We used spray last year and it really didn’t clean it well.
Seems a waste to rent a large unit for such a small area.
    Thanks

    pnoetzel,

How big of an area is carpeted in the 29RS? I’m a Hoover fan, myself, and have an upright carpet cleaner and a Floormate I absolutely could not live without. I’ve read some questionable reviews of the Bissell Crosswave, but I own a Bissell Little Green Machine. It’s a small, portable, dome-shaped appliance, about 20” long x 15” high x 9” wide. It has two plastic tanks, one for solution, one for extraction of dirty solution. The nozzle is the typical upholstery cleaning type, as it has a brush, but no agitation- it would be all elbow grease. I’ve used it to clean our little patch of carpet in the dinette slide, but that can’t be more than 5-6 square feet. Wasn’t fun, like mopping a floor on hands and knees.
They used to make a Spotbot, same size, shape and look, but the brush was on the bottom of the machine, as was the extraction. You simply placed it on a spot on your carpet, pressed the button and walked away, and it did it’s thing. Rug Doctor is now making smaller, vacuum cleaner style carpet cleaners. If my old Hoover bites the dust, I’ll probably start looking at those.

For the liquid cleaner, I’ve always liked Resolve, but on a stubborn stain, I’ve resorted to Clorox Clean-Up or Krud Cutter.

What about hiring an auto detailer?

Whichever way you decide to go, good luck.
