Hello Fellow RVers. I am new to this site. We bought a 260 Reflections last year, with the turning point hitch. I smashed by back window trying to park it in storage for the season. I have a Nissan Titan (short bed), which is why I chose the turning point hitch. Going forward, and making turns is no problem, but is their a trick to backing up? It is almost like I have to lock it, so the trailer doesn’t pivot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums Nickster. It does take a bit of getting used to back up with a turning point hitch but, after some practice I'm sure you will get used to it. It didn't take me long to adjust.

I guess I don’t know how short a Nissan bed is. My old ram 1500 had a 5’7” bed, and the sidewinder hitch still didn’t give it clearance for a full 90 deg. Turn.
You only gain 22” with the wedge in the pin box.

I have a Reflection 295RL with the turning point hitch. Having used it for several trips I have no difficulty backing into my driveway or turning (My F250 has a 6ft 9" bed). I used to tow a boat, so am used to backing up, but I find no difference with the turning point
