50amp dogbone from 50amp power extension
Hi all.
I'm looking for recommendations on the power connection.
I have a 2018 GD 290BH. The 50amp power cable runs from the pedestal to the trailer. Once connected to the trailer, a round coupler is twisted to snugly fit the power cable to the rig.
This past weekend, I was talking with a fellow camper who had a 90 degree 50amp dogbone that connected his power cable to the trailer, taking stress and weight off the power cable when connected to the trailer.
It isn't a dogbone from the pedestal to the cable but rather a 90 degree 50amp-to-50amp dogbone connection from the power cable to the trailer.
Does anyone know what this is called or where to find one?

We have it, and we love it. It takes a lot of stress off the connection at the trailer. Some tie a line around the trailer connection, then tie it a point a few feet down the power cord. That probably also takes some stress off the connection, but I prefer the look of the adapter. Since our power port on the trailer is probably about 4’ off the ground, that much heavy cord, hanging on the twist connection, would put a lot of strain on that connection.

We have one made by Camco. We lived in our Momentum for 3 years and have never disconnected it from the shore power cord. It has held up well and hasn't been an issue. I like that it relieves the stress compared to the original connection.
