    Slide out lights

While getting ready for a short 5 day trip I noticed the F 11 fuse blown. All it said on the legend was S/O, since this is a 15a fuse, I figured it must be for something other than the motor. Found out that it was the lighting on the number 2 slide, dining area and recliners. I disconnected the lights over the recliners and the switch to the puck lights over the dining table still blows fuse. Got my meter and began chasing wires, but lack of a wire diagram or schematic makes it difficult. Has anyone had a similar issue and also I would appreciate any suggestions. After further troubleshooting i determined that the lights in the pantry also do not work. The wire that is connected to F 11 is green and white. Chasing it down, I opened up the access underneath the trailer. What a disappointment! I have never seen such a rats nest of wires and the heater duct was just laying on the crossmember and not hooked up. Needless to say I couldn't make heads or tails of this. I did determine that the F 11 wire had a direct short to ground I also found the green and white wire comes into the kitchen slide. This is not a show stopper, I will work on it further tomorrow and when we return.

Just a quick update, i spoke with JD he was very helpful in giving me ideas but wasn't able to give me routines due to the fact that he has no diagrams either. I resorted to basic troubleshooting and started cutting and splicing. Localized the short to the brown/white wire that feeds the fixture above the recliners. Removed the screw that holds the curtain bracket still had short. Since this wire is in the wall and ceiling it's impossible to fish a new wire. So, I pulled on the bottom of the wire about 1" or so this fixed the short issue. I now have all my lights, and the fuse did not blow. This hole process took me about three days but I figure it saved me further damage by the dealer service guys and it also meant the trailer is with me and not sitting in a lot for weeks.

We had a similar issue with our brand new 369RL. The fuse popping intermittently whenever putting the bed slide in for the blue LEDs under island sink, blue LEDs outside under bed slide, lights for bar area and bed reading lights. Tracked it down to the orange and white wires going to bed reading lights. Pulled light above bed and ran a bore scope along wire to back corner in ceiling and found wire jacket stripped where it was pulled through the hole in the aluminum frame. Since I also didn't want the service guys tearing out the bed slide wall or ceiling I bought a 4' long piece of shrink tubing and slid it over wires and through the hole to cover and protect the wires from shorting on the aluminum frame. So far this seems to have "fixed" the problem.
The assembly workers need to make sure some kind of wire protection is used in ALL holes drilled through metal framework to prevent this easily preventable problem from happening in the future.
I don't know what this would have cost GD to have repaired under warranty but a 2 cent piece of plastic would probably be a lot cheaper.
Sorry for the long post. Just trying to help make the product even better than it already is. We love ours so far even though there are a couple of other things I'd go a different way on.

    Hi @Aeromech,

Thank you for communicating this issue, and your remedy. We are currently reviewing our assembly process, which calls for either a grommet or "snake skin" wire protection where wires enter/exit drilled tubing.

    Best regards,
