I would like to get power from the fridge light. All I need is a positive wire. Apparently the ground can be connected to the fins. Anyone can tell me which to tap in?

The red wire should be positive. If you have a meter put the leads on same colors, should read 12 volts or similar , if you put leads on backwards it should read negative 12 volts. This will determine polarity of which is which.

I pulled my wire through the drain hose to the back of unit. Fan works great.

Not all refrigerator fins are grounded. Put a multi meter on the wire and the fin, if you don't get 12v+ reading you will need to look at the alternate instructions.

I ran mine thru the drain tube and picked up a hot wire in the back. It is the same fan and with it on electric right now it is 28* in the refrigerator. Amazing!

^^^I did the same thing. I used the switch on the front of the fan. That way in case it gets too cold, I can shut it off. I installed a LED light to the left of the switch to help me remember it's on.

Where does this go? Over the fins inside? Or to help move air to remove heat on the outside?
