Many use this, also good for servicing the brakes and bearings.

    Brian,

This looks like a pretty good solution. It has enough lift that a 4x6 block under it would probably lift it high enough using the frame.

Most of them are very similar. Tandem axle trailers have some type of equalizer. I think the trailer aid was really designed for utility trailers. I would buy from Amazon since they have a good return policy if you want to try it out.

Once we get our trailer, I'm planning on driving one wheel up onto a short ramp, built of 2x12s. That should tell me how high I have to raise one axle in order to get the other tire off the ground, so that I could get an inflated tire back on, after removing a flat (removing the flat only gets you half-way there). From there, I should be able to figure out if something like the Trailer Aid will be high enough. Anyone see an issue with this approach?

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good plan. Make sure you check both axles because the attitude of the trailer when connected to your truck may make a difference. Let us know your results.

Yes, I did last weekend when I was taking wheels off to inspect the brakes on my 28BH. I have the Andersen Rapid Jack. My concrete driveway sits at an angle. Not an extreme angle by any means. Looks almost level to the naked eye. The rapid jack worked extremely well on the wheels on the higher side of the angle. Did not work at all on the lower side wheels. Its the first time I use it and my takeaway was I now need to get another form of jack to carry at all times.
