    Reese Goosebox

Just installed a 20k Reese Goosebox on my 397TH. Install was easy even by myself. Haven't pulled with it yet so I will update on the first outing...

    Doesn't the 397TH have a GVWR of 21,000 lbs?

I’ve got one ready to be installed on my 350 M that I’m going to pick up in two weeks. popsbell, did you have to use the lowest set of mounting holes on the wing set to get adequate bed rail clearance?

How big is your bed and how far is your gooseball from your cab?

FWIW those of you doing the install yourself, you might get a few tips from JD over at Big Truck Big RV, he just upgraded his to the gen 2 Goosebox.

If you purchased the new Gen 2 Goosebox, then you should mount it in the same mounting holes as your existing pinbox. However, if you have the Gen 1 Goosebox, the instructions recommend mounting the Goosebox one position lower.

I mounted my Gen 2 Goosebox in the same mounting holes as the old pinbox on my 2018 Solitude 310GK. After installation, I had 7 inches of rail clearance (6.5 at the rear of the bed) using the B&W OEM (Ford) "Puck System" Goose Ball. I have a 2019 F350 Dually with stock suspension.

I LOVE the way the Goosebox tows!

I’ll be using the Curt ball. It looks exactly like the Reese. I’m towing with a 18 Ram DRW w/auto leveling suspension.
