    Almost lost my wall!

So, my continuing adventures getting the new used trailer ready. My wife dropped a screw putting up darkening curtains and when I was trying to find it I noticed a large gap in the corner trip inside the bunk room. I pushed on the wall and low and behold the whole thing moved. Turns out the short ~10-12" section between the bunk slide and kitchen slide was no longer attached to the floor. The screws had snapped off and it fell off the floor. I could see the ground outside. After messing around I was able to pry it and get it back up onto the floor. I decided the best option was to cut a hole in the wall, pull enough insulation out to get a drill in and I lag bolted it back to the floor. Now I have to figure out how to fix my hole.Click image for larger version.

I was about ready to throw in the towel on this thing. I feel like I have been fixing all kinds of problems from the old owner. The day before un-wintering I spent 3 hours replacing a faucet and 6 lines behind the panel that were leaking. I half expected that from all the issues reported. I told my wife this is why I bough new on our last two trailer, then she reminded me we couldn't afford a brand new trailer like this.

Hoping it is all worth it when we take out first trip in less than two weeks.

Wow--hang in there! You'll get it fixed up and will know more than most about their rig.

    Hello,
I think you will get things fixed and have the satisfaction of knowing it was done right. You will also learn the ins and outs of your model. I think once you get things squared away you will make many good memories in it!

    All the best,

Exactly, all the kinks are going to be worked out and not only that you know that it's fixed right and can fix things that come up. You can also relish the deal you got and enjoy that fatter wallet.

Happy travels and don't get discouraged, the hard parts are done

To fix your hole, I would use minimally expanding Latex Foam to re-fill the cavity and then I would get a sheet of paneling and staple it onto the wall. You might be able to order a sheet of matching paneling from Grand Design, or, you might be able to find a sheet that won't look too bad at the home store. Additionally, you could get a sheet of 1/8" Luan plywood and just paint it a color you can live with.

Best of luck, Sorry that happened to you on a 2015 Camper.
