I hate to be the party pooper (sorry, couldn't resist), but 50 - 80% of human feces is bacteria. It's there because it already lives inside you and is necessary for digestion, communicating with your immune system, and and producing certain vitamins - among other things. You'd be a very unhealthy person without your little friends. It's the pathogens you don't want and, to add to your paranoia, you never know who's carrying them...

LOL.
I had little problem our 4 month old daughter puking her milk in my beard. She had colic and a weak stomach. We kept a blanket on the recliner and when/if she threw up the other spouse would get the child and clean her up. The one puked on would slither out of clothes and wrap them up in the blanket. Put a clean blanket on the chair to continue allowing the baby to drink if she wanted to. I would hose them off in the yard and toss in the wash. I guess I had a way of doing what was necessary. When in grade school I would nearly puke when a fellow student puked in class or on the bus. I guess I lean germaphobe...........

I enjoy these threads. Some people are very diligent in their efforts to avoid any contact with any sort of waste. Then there are people like me who spent way too many years of my life around farm animals to be too awfully concerned about a little dirt on my hands. The rule I use is to not lick my fingers or pick my nose until after I wash my hands.

My setup and tear down routine is to connect the stinky slinky last then wash my hands and go on with our adventure. When packing out I disconnect and stow the drain hose last thing and wash up then hit the road.

Greeks had a lot of uses for urine and feces. Urine when left to sit turns into ammonia a good cleaning agent. They even used urine as a mouthwash. They would use the feces when tanning leather, The feces made the leather softer.

It likely began long before Chili's, Chipotle, or Taco Hell.

Posts like these make me glad I put a UV system and carbon filter on my water inlet, and followed up with RO on the drinking water supply.

I have to have some small confidence builder lol. But, it shows the levels of brainwashing and fear we live under to secure what we each perceive as safe water.

Screw oil and gold and McDonalds……WW3 will be fought over ACHTOOOH.
