That is more than enough generator to run everything on our 369RL, Does the generator have a 50 amp plug you can use?

Yes has a 50amp plug that matches fifth wheel plug

I am considering using the identical setup of using (2) EU3000ius. Could you confirm BTUs of your two air-conditioners? Are they 13500 Btu or 15000 Btu? Could send a photo of the 50 Parallel set up when units are joined? [email protected].

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
We just purchased 2020 Gran Design Solitude 373. Was looking at your fix to optimize power and make weight reasonable to handle. GD 373 has (2) 1500 Btu units.

    Thanks for the support!

A ~5000w generator should be more than sufficient. I was testing my inverter last night with my AC unit, the 15k Coleman AC used about 1500w-1800w continuous. The 13.5k in the front will draw a little less. I can run both AC units on a 30a 120v shore power.

Quick note on 50a RV service, that is 50A 240v, so 12,000w peak - not 6,000w as was implied in an earlier post. That being said, I cannot really fathom how you would get to 12,000 draw in a 2 AC trailer even with everything on at once. You would have to plug in heaters and hair dryers and have them on just for the fun of it.

Realize I have a smaller 5W and a need for only one A/C unit. I have a Champion Model #100263 3400/3100 dual fuel inverter generator I chose because it is large enough to run everything I want in one package. I installed a soft start on my A/C to lower starting amperage and I'm not going to try to run the microwave with the A/C on. The coffee pot should be no problem. At 95# this fits nicely in the front of my pickup bed with a 20# bottle of propane, out of site and out of mind. Going the parallel method with two generators may be more flexible for meeting power needs but it seems to take up more space, weigh more and is complicated with the add-on of the parallel kit. That's just my thought.

I was going to post about the 50A, but I figured I would read down to the end before posting anything. The 50A RV service is really 100A, two 50A 120V legs phased 180 degrees apart.

It is really 50A. When there is a 240v capability, that is the current you specify. Regardless, the total power available at 50a/240v or 100a/120v is the same.
