Does anyone know what this is?

While repairing the supply duct that goes to the living room (didn't have much air flow, however the cargo bay was toasty)see pic, I found this rolling around the floor behind the inverter. Does anyone know what it does?

Well . . . where the hot air is going, is fairly obvious !

The "tool" looks like it has something to do with gripping and pulling water pipes . . . but that is a complete guess.
It will be interesting to learn Janice's reply to your question.

Seeing more posts on this type of topic. I must say I am getting nervous about switching to Grand Design.

I have now been through most of my rig this week end. Other than things that I don't think you will see in the future, it is built very well. I am very happy with my choice. My wife loves it! Nuts and bolts wise, for all the great design work that has been done here, there are a few things that will be improved upon. How about a compartment like Heartland to store sewer dump hose instead of the stupid bumper that won't fit a quality hose, or an 1-800 list of All the vendor phone numbers and email contact on a high quality label stuck on the back of a cabinet door? Everybody will like or not like different parts of their rig. All in all I think it is a great value. The one thing I will guarantee you, is that I have never seen the type of factory involvement that Grand Design has shown.

You can go to Home Depot and get a 6" PVC pipe, 2 caps (with screw in plugs) and the hardware to mount under your trailer to hold your sewer hose.
I carry owners manuals and documents at all times, and that includes a list of every supplier and their phone numbers. Make yourself a copy and tape inside a cabinet door.

Albscott. It's not a sticker, but here is the information you requested for the vendors on your Solitude. It's on the GD website under the "Service/Service Videos & Resources" tab. I keep a copy in my owner's binder in case I need it.

Thanks Jim, I've got that also, but have always liked the stickers then I don't have to hunt it down. Just lazy I guess. We put service stickers on everything for the customers to get this info quick.

You can, but I have enough stuff hanging from the undercarriage now and there is room for this in the kitchen area. Because you can coil up a 20 ft section of hose, the compartments on Heartlands are relatively small and take up little interior space.

Stopped by Aloha RV today and showed pictures of the "tool" to them. Nobody had ever seen it before. One of the service people there guessed it might be used to put in the tv antennae assembly on the roof but that was just a guess.
Now that I know it didn't come from the dealer, my guess is that the factory left it there. Is it important?
