    Tongue Jack too short

What's the best method to get a trailer up higher on the tongue jack than it goes? Second Jack? Jack stands? blocks?
We have a chance to moochdock again at our friends house. We did it once before but the jack is too short to level the trailer on their driveway due to the slant. I was able that time to use a bottle jack to hold up the trailer while I put more blocks under the tongue jack then raise it up to level. I tried that at another campground and had it slip off the temporary jack, very scary.

Most don’t like running the tongue jack all the way in and out if it can be avoided. Blocks of some kind are simple and easy. I have a block of wood (screwed together 2x8s) about 8in tall that I use. There are stands sold at most camper supply stores/online. Drop leg also an option.

Very rarely do I use the jack without the large block under it.

Blocks. I use a half cinder block and two 2x6 under my jack to level it in our driveway. Same under both front stabilizer jacks.

This is a picture of the last time. Been thinking of using cinder blocks. Glad to hear you use them all the time.

Blocks work best IMO but depending on the slop, you should also consider putting something down under the front axle tires. If not the all the weight will be on the rear leaf springs only.

Wood blocks are the best, make your own . Keep in mids cinder blocks can crack or crumble.

I have 4 2x8 x 8 inch long pressure treated blocks screwed together that I use. I even have a handle on it for one handed use.
I am going to add one more piece of wood to make it a little higher.

Yeah. I noticed the weight shift on the axles the last time we had it home. Blocks for the front axle are on my to do list for this weekend. Looks like I'll have to put my amateur engineer skills to use. I hate angles!

You should probably only need a plank maybe 2 thick. It doesn't have to be perfect. [emoji854]
