Oh why did you have to post this now? Why not 6 weeks ago when I ordered them! Oh well. They work great!

One rule of dealing with online retailers is to contact them by phone or email first and ask! 10% is usually not difficult it gets to be more work to get 15 or 20%. Sumo often offers 20% on select items or product lines if pushed they will do it for you to make a sale. Call now and ask.

... or anyone... I'm thinking I should replace my shocks since they've been on the truck for 16 years. What is the preferred shock for the vehicle in my signature? I currently have the Ranchero Adjustable shocks that I can no longer turn the adjustment knob. I also have the oem shocks that were taken off when new... or should I just put them on and get a few years out of them?

I guess that depends on what you are looking for. Here is the listing from Rock Auto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...+absorber,7556

What do they do for you? What difference do you see? What are sumo springs meant to do? Spring dampener? Or spring helper?
I'm trying to decide if they are worth adding..still on the fence. I have the cre300 suspension. Trailer seems pretty steady going down the road - at least we've never thought the trailer was bouncing around.

16 years eh? Probably been barely doing their job for the last 10..lol
I highly recommend Bilstein 5100 shocks. Good valving for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. I think they have a 5100 specifically for the GM. Need to specify if stock or lifted.

You're probably right... I purchased the truck used in 2014 and the previous owner was meticulous about everything on it. He would crawl underneath and adjust the shocks before & after every trip with his 5th wheel... me, I just adjusted them for towing and never changed them again. I know the truck doesn't have any lift kits installed but it does have added front and rear stabilizers and Firestone Ride- Rite Air Bags on the rear that lift it pretty well. Would the air bags be considered a "lift kit"? The truck is used primarily for towing the 5er.

On the trailer, they help support the load. The springs are attached to the axle, with the frame of the coach resting on them. On the truck, they help as a load balancer, like air bags, just without the air.
