Reflection First RV Experience
Greeting All Starting RV life experience at the tender age of 70. Bought the 2021 RV as part of a package deal with a 2020 Ram diesel 2500, so here we go!!!! A little bigger than I wanted at 33 ft, but what the hell. Everything currently hibernating under roof (Ohio) but come April we hit the road. Playing this slow and easy, with a few close to home jaunts to get our reality feet wet. YT videos only work for so long
First roadblock is the RAM recall for the injection pump replacement. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR................ Once that gets taken care of, away we go. Onward and upward!

Welcome to the RV life!
If you haven't ever pulled a trailer very much or one that long I would suggest that you try and book a pull-through site for your first trip or two. The last place you want to learn to back into a spot is in a campground with your new neighbors starring at you.Bill & Colleen ~ Schwenksville, Pa

Before you hit the road, hook up and head to an empty parking lot (like a high school football stadium) and practice driving straight, left turns, right turns and backing up. You and your partner can practice there and get comfortable pulling a 5th wheel. Plus, it gives you a chance to work out your hand signals and phone signals before you have to use them at a campground. Also review some of the backing up YouTube videos before you go.
We've had a 5th wheel since 2017 and before our first trip we head to the local football stadium and drive around to get re-acquainted with the 5th wheel. Good practice and builds confidence without traffic or "coaches" at the campground.
Good Luck and have fun this year.Les and Sharon Bevil
