Replacing Vents
I want to the replace the vents in my TT. The stock ones just don't cut it. I would like something where the guts can be replaced vs replacing the entire assembly. What are the more popular vents that you are using? I can go with manual since I am tall and the ceiling is not.

I"ve not seen any replacement parts that would be better than OEM, but I've not done much in depth searching. I'd have to agree that the stock fan vents are pretty lousy, unless they're the Fantastic Fans, and those work well.

Maybe I am not saying it correctly. The issue now is if any part is faulty in the current OEM vent the fix is to replace the entire assembly. I am looking to replace them with something that IF say that a part goes bad I can replace the part vs the entire assembly.
I am not sure who to go with Maxxair or Fantastic Fans. Maybe more searching.Last edited by docque; 07-19-2022 at 08:12 AM.

Because the OEM vents in the RV are the crap ones that are very fragile. The gear in the handle was stripped out when we bought it. The fan is very poor. They are like these. https://www.amazon.com/LucaSng-Campe...8MVX63NX&psc=1
I want something that is sturdier, easy to repair if needed and can circulate air better.Upstate NY

Mine aren’t crap
Fans work fine and are replaceable if they quit
Can’t imagine breaking the seal on the roof just for preventing a future failure but have at it
There are fans that can be installed into the vents that are there but it sounds like the door is the issue with yours
Why didn’t the dealer fix it if it was bad from new?2021 Imagine 2400 BH

FWIW, fans may, or may not, be replaceable. I had no luck trying to source a fan motor for the OEM vent fan, made in China, that came in our Fuzion. The only source I could find wanted as much as it would cost to replace the whole unit...which is what I did.

I have had great luck with Maxxair fans in my old TT. We had two of the manual ones. At least one of them ran whenever the AC was not running over the past 3 years. No matter what fan you go with, I suggest getting one with a rain hood. When I finally pick up my new TT this weekend, I plan to replace at least one fan with the Maxxair Deluxe setup: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...KIKX0DER&psc=1
Not sure if it will be the manual or auto version. I need to see if the DW can reach in the new TT.Hobienick
