    Brighter Light Powered Tongue Jack?

We end up using the light on our cell phones when hooking/unhooking at night because the light on the tongue jack is pretty dim. Anyone come up with a replacement or better way to light the area?

@Riverbug , I have only hitched a couple of times in the dark. I turn on the tongue jack and the front cap light. I know the cap light is bright. But if I am using it for a specific purpose other than 'because it's neat' I'm fine with using it. When I'm done I turn it off.

Also, I always have a head lamp light on when doing outside trailer stuff in the dark. Highly recommend Black Diamond brand. They are pricey but they are very high quality and durable.

Front cap lights would be nice, but our model doesn't have them. Forgot about the head lamps though, that's a good idea. It also just occurred to me to see if I can replace the bulb with a brighter one. Haven't looked at what type of bulb is in that jack yet so will have to check that out.

The light on my Lippert is an LED circuit card. There is 12V available on that card to add brighter LEDs maybe on the plastic diffuser.Click image for larger version.

Put TV in reverse and set parking brake? It's what I do if I need more light. Vehicle doesn't have to be running if it makes you nervous, just turn key on and move shifter.
