Here in KCMO, our tornado warnings are going off right now. Wind is picking up as well. Hope OP made it thru ok.

If the camper is rocking… Nope, not going there. I’d stay in the truck. Lots of good advice about positioning into the wind if possible.

IMO, if I know this type of weather is comming and I am any where near this area (ESPECIALLY IN KS), I'm not hiding in a shelter! I'm out of town, period. Seen to many here in KS/MO, dont need the T-shirt!
Shelters dont always protect those in tornados... unless you are "way" underground. And, I dont want to he stuck in BF where ever waiting for an Uber.Jim and Annette
