Insurance on 2600RB Seems High

I don't have any specifics yet but my agent Liberty Mutual want $1,860/yr to insure our new camper. I sent an email asking for a binder to just pull it off the lot. We have our two vehicles and home with them. Does that seem high for 100 miles north of Galveston Texas in Montgomery county. $250 deductible

There are so many variables involved it's hard to discuss this topic accurately. We are with USAA (auto, renters, umbrella) and the premiums for our 2020 Solitude 310GK-R are $658/year including roadside assistance (labor & towing). I'm over 65 and have been with USAA for about 40 years. This is for Polk County, TX (Livingston) with a $250 deductible. Being on the coast will increase premiums due to the risk of hurricanes, as will your driving record, age, and history with the company.

I'll chime in...2021 Solitude S-class 3550BH. 50yrs old, good driving record. House and three vehicles also with the company. Shelter Insurance $643.84/year with $1,000 deductible.

We are with state farm,desjardins in canada now,we pay about $600.00 a year .We are over 65 .That includes insurance and caa rv coverage.

Progressive wanted $950/year for my Momentum 21g last year when I bought it. I called and it turns out they were adding to the price due to an accident that was not my fault. Got a new quote at $620/year, more in line with my guestimate. Good luck!

Well, it turns out I was reading the wrong column in the PDF on my Android (70yo vision) LOL. The $1860/yr includes the new camper, 2021 Aviator, and a 2016 Mini Cooper. The insurance add on for the 2600RB is $29/mo - $5,000 contents, $250 deductible and actual cash value. Much better than I expected. Me bad!

Rob.....I just moved to Texas. I'm using USAA as well, but the RV is under Progressive (annotateded with USAA). Just got quoted $2000 for a year. My Washington quote was $600. Is your policy directly with USAA or is it Progressive??

It's "directly" with USAA - Progressive is not involved.

I pay $237/yr to State Farm with $1000 deductible. Seems reasonable.
