Of course if you don’t boondock - this wont matter to you.
Sounds close, but here is what I got from the engineer on the system....

    Factory system will power-

    Receptacle for main TV
One Receptacle on each side of bed.
    Refrigerator.
    One receptacle in kitchen.
    One receptacle for bedroom TV.
    One receptacle in bathroom.

If a toyhauler, one receptacle in the garage.

    Batteries not included....LOL

Thanks Steve - that makes far more sense.

To be clear on this - if you expect to be able to run your fridge entirely off the inverter, you’ll need a significant battery bank and may also need to upgrade your solar and possibly the inverter (depending on how many things you want to run at any one time). And with a residential fridge, you’ll definitely have to upgrade the entire system.

There are a couple of really good threads about this on this forum...

    Cheers!

I have not been a fan of manufacturer solar prep and/or solar components install because typically they install charge controllers too far from the batteries, wire gauge is typically too thin a gauge for best efficiency, the components may not be the best and the components may not be optimal for the users needs. IMHO to get the best outcome is to DIY install if you have the ability or to have it professionally installed after the fact.

i look forward to your evaluation when you get to see one with the option. I’m not as talented and would need to have GD or the dealer install the components.

I would have to agree with BB&LAB’s concerns re the pending GD solar option - at least until we know for sure what components (and brand thereof) and type of installation it consists of. I seriously doubt that GD or any other RV manufacturer would design and install a high-end solar system, especially one that’s expandable down the road. Just think of the garbage stereo and TV they give us.
But I’d trust the RV dealer even less to know what to do re solar systems! If you are not qualified to DIY, don’t have the time or will to do so, find a reputable aftermarket installer or RV shop to do the work. Personally,
I did my own research and then listened to and worked with such a place to get a quality system installed in our 310gk that’s perfectly tailored to our needs.

Anybody checked the wiring above the coroplast or behind panels or the backside of the house panel? Look at connections, wire support or chafing issues? Do you really want these guys to set up your solar and wire it safely? I wouldn't. They probably wouldn't even give you a wiring diagram for it because it's proprietary just like the rest of the rig.

I think you'd be better off having an aftermarket installation designed for your needs.

    Exactly!
Pay a reputable solar installer or DIY.

Is this the solar access from the roof to the basement area? Does anyone know if this is a vertical raceway through the wall?

Not according to my installer. Here’s a picture of my roof penetration. It goes down the wall behind the toilet. They accessed everything from the bathroom side by removing the wall panel behind the toilet. Note that I already had them install a second port and wiring down to the basement just in case I ever want to expand beyond the 760 Watts of solar I currently have.Click image for larger version.
