    Winegard / TOGO

So I kept my Winegard TOGO because it is a half decent WIFI extender, and serves as an internet backup. I want to roof mount it because I'm sick of it living on top of my cabinet. But I noticed that the plastic SIM cover has no gasket. It just screws over the area.

For those that have them, is that normal? How well does it actually protect that area from the elements? I'm asking because over the last 2 years I've seen my fair share of snow and horizontal rain. Anyone ever have one of these things get water in them and fry the boards?

I tried to lookup pictures of your product and the pictures look a lot like the Winegard 360+.

You might be able to put it inside that housing if you have that antenna. It already has a roof penetration, so you might be able to put it there.

    Just a thought.

Mine is that way (no gasket) and has been on the roof for a year now, no issues so far. I've had it open a few times (installing an Ethernet cable and changing out the SIM) and it's been high/dry in there. I did mount it so the window faced the back, try to keep the rain out. But so far, not an issue.

Same here. I was surprised to find no gasket, but hasn't been an issue with my Connect2.
