Manufactures section gone
I for one am happy to see the manufacture section removed, it was over due since they refuse to participate with us. From the resurfaced pex thread by Emily I take it all the threads were infused into the proper categories?
Anyhow thanks to all those who made the difficult decision and moved the relevant posts.Marcy & Gary

There is a lot more to the story Marcy than "they refuse to participate with us". Andy (new owner) and Grand Design tried to work things out, but with trademark issues, the attorneys involved couldn't come to an agreement. I know the whole story, and wouldn't blame either side. Use this forum for what it was intended for. A bunch of owners sharing our thoughts and experiences. If someone needs assistance, then contact your selling dealership. If that won't work, then contact Grand Design customer service. This doesn't change Grand Design's support of it's owners or Andy's company providing a great gathering place of like minded people.

Yeah, it doesn't have anything to do with GD not wanting to participate.
Take notice there are no GD official logos or images of their products in the header anymore.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

It would be helpful for us to know why GDRV was not able to work something out when before they obviously had an avenue to participate. Also it would be wise for GDRV to at least monitor what's going on in the forum as there is a great deal of information here that is available to them for free.

It would be nice to know , but my guess is the "legal" dept doesn't want it in print on the internet. I wouldn't be surprised if Some GD employees are members here under user names that are non GD to keep tabs on what is being said here.
Jim(Tuscon) , We have no intention of not using and enjoying this forum because GD can't participate, I feel they were really a minor part of things here and rarely participated the past few years. We have so many knowlegable members (who many time had better answers to problems than GD) it would be foolish for anyone to leave because GD isn't here any more.. GD participation had already slowed b4 the sale but seemed to really taken a nosedive after the Winnebago purchase. That to me was the beginning of them trying to step away quietlyMarcy & Gary

I think some of this has come from the opening of the "GDRV4Life" website, where they can monitor and add there own input , under there own name. It is a pretty good site with plenty of info. For the technical stuff this is the site to be on. It is interesting that they would "walk" away from a site that may have helped them build the company, but lawyers are funny and everybody should have at least one

FYI - To address the original posters question. Grand Design asked us to close the Manufacturer's Corner.
Jim, it had nothing to do with corportate logos or proprietary data. The issue that was brought to my attention was related to trademark issues, that's it. Please don't spread innaccuracies.
